Professional Experience

As an intellectual property attorney for 29 years, Bill concentrated his practice in the areas of trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, covenants not to compete, patents, unfair competition, privacy and litigation in all of those areas.   He helped companies grow their businesses by:

  • Developing and implementing international trademark protection strategies for leading consumer brands and major sporting events
  • Assisting businesses derive value from their intellectual property, through licensing and other means

  • Advising, counseling and litigating matters involving trademarks, trade secrets, covenants not to compete, copyrights, patents, rights of privacy and publicity and defamation

As Managing Partner from 2007-2013, Bill helped assemble and support teams which assisted clients in achieving their goals. During Bill's tenure, the Firm was named a "Best Law Firm" in numerous categories and was also judged one of the "Best Places to Work" in Kentucky each year.
