The Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky commits to helping Kentuckians keep health coverage

Wyatt congratulates the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky for its commitment to helping people understand the new Kentucky Medicaid rules which will take effect July 1.  The Foundation has spent the past 17 years investing in health policy research and addressing unmet health needs of Kentuckians.  It is teaming up with Governor Matt Bevin’s office to make sure as many Kentuckians as possible are insured.  Recent legislation reshaped Kentucky’s Medicaid rules and are expected to affect about 95,000 people currently on Medicaid.  The Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky will help Kentuckians maintain health coverage by identifying those who will be affected by the changes and helping them comply with the new rules by finding jobs or volunteer work, among other things.  This kind of nonpartisan initiative is exactly what Kentucky needs and Wyatt looks forward to seeing the good that will come from such a program.
